وجود الاقواس بماذن المساجد لم يكن للجمال فحسب ولكن كان له دلاله هامه للمصلين فهناك الماذن ذات القوسين والتى تدل على ان المسجد موجود فى قريه معزوله اما الماذن ذات الثلاث اقواس تدل على ان المسجد هو مسجد الحى وتصلى فيه الخمس صلوات بالاضافه لصلاه الجمعه ويوجد الماذن ذات السته اقواس وهى المساجد الملكيه والتى تقام فيها الحفلات الدينيه والفرق بين المسجد والجامع فالجامع اكبر من المسجد فى مساحته وتقام فيه كل الصلوات بما فيها صلاه الجمعه وفى النهايه كل جامع هو مسجد وليس كل مسجد جامع .
