يقول المثل العربي: يداك أوكتا وفوك نفخ
أصله أن رجلاً كان في جزيرة من جزائر البحر فأراد أن يعبر على زِقّ قد نفخ فيه فلم يحسن إحكامه. حتى إذا توسط البحر خرجت منه الريح فغرق، فلما غشيه الموت استغاث برجل فقال له: يداك أوكتا وفوك نفه.
يُضرَب لمن يجني على نفسه .
* الوِكاء رِباط القِرْبةِ وغيرها الذي يُشد به رأْسُها. وقد أَوكَيتُه بالوِكاء إِيكاء إِذا شددته
