قناة الرسالة هي فكرة سمو الأمير الوليد بن طلال وكنت أحد المرشحين ثم تم اختياري لإدارة القناة ، أذكر ولا أنسى أن سمو الأمير الوليد بن طلال سألني عن مشاريعي وأهدافي ثم قال لي : لو عرضت عليك إدارة قناة الرسالة سوف تتوقف الكثير من مشاريعك ، فأجبته لا مشكلة لدي في إلغاء 60% من أجل هذا المشروع الرئيسي لديّ .
