كم كنتُ أكتُمُ نارَ الغيظِ محتسباً
وكم صبرتُ على مَن كان آذاني
لي مبدأٌ في التغاضي لا أُبَدّلُهُ
إلا إذا ما تمادى الجاهلُ الجاني
هل تحسبونَ فؤادي كان مِن حَجَرٍ؟!
أو أنني مَلَكٌ مِن عالَمٍ ثاني؟!
لي مِثْلُكمْ قَلبُ إنسانٍ يطاوعُني
حيناً ويخذُلُني في بعضِ أحياني
