فتَّشتُ أطباعَ الخلائقِ كلِّها
فوقفتُ مدهوشاً منَ الإنسانِ

تلقاهُ في ثوبِ الملائكِ تارةً
وتراهُ يلبسُ بُردةَ الشيطانِ

متقلِّبٌ متلوِّنٌ في طبعِهِ
ذئبٌ ويتقِنُ رقَّةَ الغزلانِ
