فعل الأمر في اللغة العربية يوجه دائمًا للمخاطب، فإن شئت أمر المتكلم أو الغائب استعملت لام الأمر التي تجزم الفعل المضارع، قال تعالى:
- ﴿فَلۡیَكۡتُبۡ وَلۡیُمۡلِلِ ٱلَّذِی عَلَیۡهِ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَلۡیَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّهُۥ﴾ [البقرة ٢٨٢]
- ﴿ثُمَّ لۡیَقۡضُوا۟ تَفَثَهُمۡ وَلۡیُوفُوا۟ نُذُورَهُمۡ وَلۡیَطَّوَّفُوا۟ بِٱلۡبَیۡتِ ٱلۡعَتِیقِ﴾ [الحج ٢٩]
