قد يبدو هذا الطائر وكأنه يفقد ساقًا، لكن الأمر ليس كذلك. فهو في الواقع بخير ولديه ساقان. ولكن لماذا لا نستطيع رؤية ساقه الأخرى؟ حسنًا، ذلك لأنه يُظهر سلوكًا يُسمى "الراحة على ساق واحدة"، حيث يقف على ساق واحدة بينما يُخفي الساق الأخرى تحت جسمه أو جناحه. هذا السلوك شائع بين العديد من أنواع الطيور ومن المفترض أنه يساعد في تقليل فقدان الحرارة من جسم الطائر، لأن الساقين تُعتبران مصدرًا رئيسيًا لفقدان الحرارة في الطيور.
