ما يفعله هذا التمساح أمر لا يُصدق بالفعل. في وقت سابق، كان يحاول اصطياد هذه الغزلان، ولكن صيد فريسة يمكنها رؤيتك أمر مستحيل. لذلك توصّل إلى استراتيجية صيد عبقرية. يختبئ تحت الماء وتحت النباتات العائمة. ويتخذ موقعًا استراتيجيًا بالقرب من حافة الماء، لأنه المكان الذي ستروي فيه الغزلان عطشها حتمًا، مما يجعل هذا الفخ مثاليًا. ثم ينتظر بصبر اللحظة المناسبة. بعدها في جزء من الثانية، يقفز من الماء، ويمسك بغزال في فكيه القويين بينما تهرب الغزلان الأخرى. بعد تأمين صيده، يختفي التمساح بسرعة في الماء مجددًا.
